Helping student’s pursue their passions in animal and meat sciences, Certified Angus Beef offers an array of scholarships to students studying animal and meat sciences at varying levels.
The Certified Angus Beef Graduate Fellowship with Colorado State University’s College of Agricultural Sciences is looking for students who want to make the best beef better through meat science, animal science or sustainability research, or by studying animal care.

Dr. Bob VanStavern spent his career as a meat scientist at Ohio State University and was directly involved in establishing the quality parameters for the Certified Angus Beef®
brand in 1978, leading the beef community’s efforts to be consumer driven. Upon his passing in February 2020, this mentorship fund was founded to honor his legacy to Certified Angus Beef and the meat science community.
Recognition and scholarship is awarded to a student presenting research relevant to high-quality beef supply or demand at the American Meat Science Association Reciprocal Meat Conference.
To be considered, students simply need to indicate so with abstract submissions for the Reciprocal Meat Conference.
